Laser Teeth Whitening Problems
Teeth Whitening Problems are more commonly found in cases where at-home whitening products where used or misused and less in the professional procedures such as the laser teeth whitening! Most of the whitening procedures include the usage of peroxide based materials, and even though they do not represent a health hazard, when used in excess they can irritate the gums, throat, create tissue tingling, increase tooth sensitivity and in very few cases generate headaches. In the case of laser teeth whitening the heat of the light and the bleaching solution may cause trauma to the nerve and sometimes even damage it. If you have sensitive teeth and suffer when you drink cold drinks I wouldn't recommend whitening your teeth or if you decide to whiten them anyway - expect to suffer from teeth sensitivity! As discussed - the main cause of whitening problems is the use or more accurately the over use of peroxide based whitening products. These problems are more common in At-home products usage. The following video shows some of the problems that can be caused due to teeth whitening especially with younger kids where the teeth and soft tissue are not developed yet.
