The procedure used for Laser light teeth whitening
Step by step procedure teeth whitening review -
The doctor starts the procedure with documenting the "before procedure" status by checking the color shade of your teeth and sometimes even taking a picture for you to compare it to the results.
He then continues by applying a protective material on to your gums to prevent the bleaching material from hurting the soft tissue.

The doctor then applies a bleaching chemical( hydrogen peroxide ) in the form of a gel onto the teeth. This gel is then activated by the Laser light. The laser penetrates to the dentoid part of each tooth and deoxidizes it, which performs a bleaching action that lightens the color of the tooth.
This process is repeated a second shorter time a few minutes after the first is completed. In some cases the doctor will cover the teeth with a fluoride gel to protect the enamel after the procedure is completed.
Typically the entire process from start to finish will take 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the dentist and patient.
At the end of the whole procedure the dentists will compare the final results with the initial color shade - and you will notice the difference!!
Typical results for this procedure is a change of 6-8 shades to a lighter white after 1 treatment only! As a comparison - Whitening toothpastes give a 1-2 shade color change after 4 weeks!
